Great video. Instructions were exact without skipping the “obvious” parts like others. I’ve replaced this no fewer than 4 times via plumbers due to our hard water. Now at least I know I can change it myself and save the $279+ charge each time going forward.

Great video advice. Just replaced gasket on our tank. I would add two steps. One, make sure the parts are free of fragments from the old gasket. I gently removed these with a rough-sided sponge. Two, I used a shop wet-vac to remove the sludge/particles that accumulate in the bottom of the tank. You can remove them with a small cup, rag, sponge, etc. if you do not have a shop vac. A flashlight was useful checking on the old gasket and sludge particles being removed. Job took about 20 minutes.

If hooking up only 2 wires with no ground does it matter which wire goes where on GFCI? Thanks.
Hi, yes, the hot wire goes to the side with the brass screws and the narrow slots. The neutral wire goes to the side with the silver screws and the wide slot. You will be connecting the 2 wires on the Line Side. It will be marked on the GFCI. The Load side should have tape over 2 screws. @@FIXITHomeImprovementChannel Thanks! Bummer in 1953 the builder could have spent $50 more on 3 wires with ground instead of 2. Now it would cost ~$10,000 to rewire it. Austin code allows GFCI with sticker. The local Home Depot sells tons of those grey adapters that allow you to plug in but no one should be using.

If you place these as detectors when you are in the 'concerned' phase, how much time do you allow to know for sure whether or not you have bed bugs? An hour? A week?

Very nice solution and nice video... I have a 3/8" braided supply line (integrated to faucet) and it is leaking where the braided part goes into the connector. I was hoping there's a way to repair it so I don't have to replace the faucet. I thought I would ask you. Thanks in advance. Phil

Great video! When I pulled my old unit out there was o outer casing on it. In my sleeve it looks like it was especially made to take ac units with no outer casing. Has anyone ever heard of this???

Thank you! One recommendation, when finished and before flushing, put at least 3 tablespoons of baking soda into the acid water to neutralize the acid before flushing it into the city drain.

Ok so am I the only one with a demon cat????? All these cats lay calmly but mine wants to fight and bite- she’s just turn 4 months but it’s a nightmare to clip her nails or even brush her!!! I’ve never accidentally clipped the quick of her nails so it’s not like she’s had a bad experience. I’m interested in trying these because she pretty much tries to destroy all my furniture.

There was a period in the 70s when electric mowers had a toehold in the market for appropriately sized yards.
I have a pair of these, they're the first safety-toe boots that didn't leave me in agony at the end of the day. Unfortunately Amazon no longer carries them, so I don't know what I'm going to do when they eventually wear out.

my keurig has a charcoal filter that should be replaced. Nothing was mentioned of that. Do the newer models still use those filters
